Moving On!

So recently it has been a bit difficult for me.  I was extremely stressed out almost on a daily basis and dreaded going to work.  Now I am no longer going through that as I gave up that job because my boyfriend got a job up in Portland, Oregon.  We are going to be moving up there shortly.  I am hoping to start streaming via twitch.tv once i get up there.  This is something I have wanted to do for awhile now.  By moving it is going to allow us to get faster interwebs which in turn means that I can stream.

I know this is going to take awhile to get everything where I want it to be but at least it is a start.  I know I will have to work still at least in a part time job but I am not going to be working a job where the only thing I do is answer the phones.  I used to be fine working at call centers but recently realized that it is definitely not something I want to do anymore.

I will keep everyone posted with further information on when I am moving and where you can find me on twitch.

Funniest day in training thus far (meet Luke)

Today towards the end of the day Luke made a funny.  While not intentional, super funny.

Here is basically how it went down. Lindsey is our trainer.

Lindsey: How would you respond to this situation?

Class raises hands, Lindsey calls on the girl sitting next to Luke.

Luke instead responds, Lindsey makes a joke as she did not call on him, Luke looks at the trainer with a serious face and says:

"Our eyes met and we had a moment"

Lindsey's reaction was similar to this:

Lindsey: "I never even looked at you"

The rest of the class had this response:

Seriously one of the best moments in class thus far!

Got my Mic!

I got my new microphone yesterday.  I have used it slightly but still need to test and make a first youtube video.  Currently I have managed to get my social networking sites hooked up.  I have managed to make a decent intro for my channel and found some nice software for editing.  Now the next step is to find and test some capture software to record the videos.

Still looking for a job hopefully something comes up soon.  I never thought going to college would close so many doors but it does.  I am only able to apply for certain jobs.  I need money and I cant get a basic job just so that I can pay the bills.  I have an interview on Wednesday and I hope it all works out for me.  Fingers crossed.

Been busy but I'm back!

It has been awhile since my last post and I am sorry about that.  Life takes over sometimes and we have no choice but to roll with the punches.  I found a temp job back in November and it kinda took over my life because it involved so much time and little pay.  That ended in March and I have been looking for work since.

I have been thinking about taking a step in the direction of streaming as I play games and such via twitch.  The only issue I am having with it is that I do not have fast enough upload speed with my current internet provider.  So, instead for now I am thinking about making youtube videos.  I have not decided just what I want to make the videos of so this is something I need to think a bit about.  I might make in about gaming, I just do not know yet what I want to do.  I am thinking about getting a nice microphone today.  The one I am thinking about using is the Yeti Microphone by Blue Yeti Microphone.

After reading the reviews I think it should be a good one to get started with.  Now I need to put in some research on good video editing software as well as what video capture software would work best.

I do plan to try and spend more time writing my blog, hopefully sometime I might get a follower or two as well so I do not feel like I am writing to myself.

In other news Duane "Dog" Capman has started following me on twitter. Can't wait for the new season of Dog & Beth: On The Hunt to start up. Maybe I can get Beth Chapman to follow me next. Never know I mean she has been nice enough to chat with me a few times and did wish me a happy birthday once.

So I will try and post some photos of the new mic once it is up and running.  And on a side note if anyone has suggestions on what software to use for recording and editing let me know!
